Texas High School Basketball - Magnolia fells Stratford
(January 24, 2012: Houston, TX 77079) Magnolia Bulldogs (Magnolia, TX) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad overcome the host Stratford Spartans (Houston, TX), 62-54 in a league bout.
With the victory, Magnolia upgrades its record to 19-7 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Brenham (Brenham, TX) to play the Cubs in a 4A Region III District 17 bout on Friday, February 3. The Cubs come into the bout with a record of 19-5.
Next up, the Spartans play the Spring Woods Tigers (Houston, TX) in a 4A Region III District 17 bout, on Friday, January 27. Stratford will attempt to upgrade on its 3-16 season record. The Tigers come into the battle with a 2-18 record after their 65-35 league loss to Brenham (Brenham, TX).
