(October 16, 2008: Fort Myers, FL 33919) The Gateway Charter Griffins volleyball team (Fort Myers, FL), went down 3-1 in Thursday's league challenge with the host Cypress Lake Panthers (Fort Myers, FL)

The Panthers (8-6) will now prepare for their challenge against South Fort Myers (Fort Myers, FL). The Wolfpack come into the non-league challenge with a 15-6 record. In their last challenge, South Fort Myers defeated Baker (Cape Coral, FL), 3-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Griffins encounter the Palmetto Ridge Bears (Naples, FL) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, October 20. Gateway Charter will attempt to improve on its 1-15 season record. The Bears enter the test with a 8-17 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Indian Rocks Christian (Largo, FL).
