New Jersey High School Basketball - Immaculata thwarts Asbury Park
(December 29, 2007: Somerville, NJ 08876) The Immaculata Spartans (Somerville, NJ) basketball felled the visiting Asbury Park Bishops (Asbury Park, NJ), 62-46 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Spartans (4-2) will now prepare for their test against Ridge (Basking Ridge, NJ). The Red Devils go into the non-league test with a 4-2 record. In their last test, Ridge went down by Watchung Hills Regional (Warren, NJ), 52-46, in a non-league test.
The Bishops now own a 1-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to St. Rose for a Shore B - Central test on Wednesday, January 2. Asbury Park will clash with a Purple Roses squad coming off a 58-45 non-league win over Central Regional (Bayville, NJ). The Purple Roses record now stands at 6-7.
