Oregon High School Basketball - St. Mary's Academy can't get by Highlands Ranch

(December 20, 2011: Portland, OR 97201) Highlands Ranch Falcons (Highlands Ranch, CO) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host St. Mary's Academy Blues (Portland, OR), 55-49 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Highlands Ranch upgrades its record to 6-3 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to Pinnacle (Phoenix, AZ) to play the Pioneers in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 21. The Pioneers come into the bout with a record of 10-1. Pinnacle won 60-58 in their recent non-league bout against Canyon Springs (Moreno Valley, CA)

Next up, the Blues play the Gresham Gophers (Gresham, OR) in a 6A Mt. Hood bout, on Tuesday, January 3. St. Mary's Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 4-2 season record. The Gophers come into the bout with a 3-3 record after their 50-17 non-league win over North Salem (Salem, OR).
