Arizona High School Basketball - Red Mountain fells Mountain Ridge

(January 12, 2012: Glendale, AZ 85310) Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Red Mountain Mountain Lions (Mesa, AZ) and the host Mountain Ridge Mountain Lions (Glendale, AZ), saw Red Mountain's basketball squad overcome Mountain Ridge by a count of 61-44.

With the victory, Red Mountain upgrades its record to 16-6 on the campaign. The Mountain Lions travel to Skyline (Mesa, AZ) to play the Coyotes in a I Section II challenge on Friday, January 13. The Coyotes come into the challenge with a record of 7-11. Skyline lost 60-25 in their recent league challenge against Highland (Gilbert, AZ)

Next up, the Mountain Lions play the Valley Vista Monsoon (Surprise, AZ) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 13. Mountain Ridge will attempt to upgrade on its 5-10 season record. The Monsoon come into the challenge with a 5-7 record after their 48-43 league win over Millennium (Goodyear, AZ).
