New York High School Football - Archbishop Stepinac topped by Iona Prep

(October 22, 2011: White Plains, NY 10605) The Archbishop Stepinac Crusaders football team (White Plains, NY), was beaten 30-17 in Saturday's league challenge with the visiting Iona Prep Gaels (New Rochelle, NY)

The Gaels (5-2) will now prepare for their challenge against St. Anthony's (Melville, NY). The Friars come into the Catholic AAA-AA challenge with a 6-0 record. In their last outing, St. Anthony's overcame Chaminade (Mineola, NY), 21-13, in a league outing.

With the loss, Archbishop Stepinac moves to 5-2 on the season. The Crusaders host Fordham Prep (Bronx, NY) to confront the Rams in a Catholic AAA-AA outing on Friday, October 28. The Rams go into the outing with a record of 3-4. Fordham Prep lost 36-0 in their recent league outing against Xaverian (Brooklyn, NY)
