Texas High School Basketball - Wills Point overwhelmed by Ford
(January 27, 2012: Wills Point, TX 75169) The Ford Panthers basketball team scored 53 points and restricted the host Wills Point Tigers to 31 in the Panthers league victory on Friday.
The Panthers now sport a 16-13 record. They play next when they host Canton for a 3A Region II District 14 contest on Tuesday, January 31. Ford will meet a Eagles team coming off a 40-30 league win over Van (Van, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 12-15.
The Tigers (2-21) will now prepare for their contest against Rains (Emory, TX). The Wildcats come into the 3A Region II District 14 contest with a 11-14 record. In their last contest, Rains was routed by Lindale (Lindale, TX), 55-53, in a league contest.
