(October 1, 2011: Bronx, NY 10466) The Mt. St. Michael Academy Mountaineers football team (Bronx, NY), was tipped 14-12 in Saturday's league challenge with the visiting Archbishop Stepinac Crusaders (White Plains, NY)
The Crusaders (4-0) will now prepare for their challenge against St. Anthony's (Melville, NY). The Friars come into the Catholic AAA-AA challenge with a 3-0 record. In their last challenge, St. Anthony's nipped Holy Cross (Flushing, NY), 29-19, in a league challenge.
The Mountaineers now sport a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they host Holy Cross for a Catholic AAA-AA challenge on Saturday, October 8. Mt. St. Michael Academy will meet a Knights team coming off a 29-19 league loss to St. Anthony's (Melville, NY). The Knights record now stands at 3-1.
