Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Central Dauphin overwhelms Cumberland Valley

(February 3, 2012: Harrisburg, PA 17112) Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Central Dauphin Rams (Harrisburg, PA) and the visiting Cumberland Valley Eagles (Mechanicsburg, PA), saw Central Dauphin's basketball squad trounce Cumberland Valley by a score of 61-36.

With the victory, Central Dauphin improves its record to 19-1 on the campaign. The Rams travel to Carlisle (Carlisle, PA) to battle the Thundering Herd in a Mid-Penn - Commonwealth challenge on Monday, February 6. The Thundering Herd come into the challenge with a record of 3-17. Carlisle lost 56-48 in their recent league challenge against Steelton-Highspire (Steelton, PA)

Next up, the Eagles battle the Northern York Polar Bears (Dillsburg, PA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, February 6. Cumberland Valley will attempt to improve on its 7-13 season record. The Polar Bears come into the challenge with a 9-9 record after their 49-44 league win over Big Spring (Newville, PA).
