New Jersey High School Football - Garfield routed by Paterson Catholic

(October 5, 2007: Garfield, NJ 07026) The Garfield Boilermakers football team (Garfield, NJ), was ripped 51-3 in Friday's non-league challenge with the visiting Paterson Catholic Cougars (Paterson, NJ)

The Cougars (5-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Saddle Brook (Saddle Brook, NJ). The Falcons come into the Bergen/Passaic - Carpenter challenge with a 3-2 record. In their last challenge, Saddle Brook was ripped by Hawthorne (Hawthorne, NJ), 35-17, in a non-league challenge.

The Boilermakers now sport a 1-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Elmwood Park for a Bergen/Passaic - King bout on Friday, October 12. Garfield will face a Crusaders squad coming off a 8-6 non-league loss to Pascack Hills (Montvale, NJ). The Crusaders record now stands at 1-4.
