Arizona High School Basketball - Ironwood Ridge prevails Flowing Wells

(January 10, 2012: Tucson, AZ 85705) Ironwood Ridge Nighthawks (Tucson, AZ) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Flowing Wells Caballeros (Tucson, AZ), 83-68 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Ironwood Ridge upgrades its record to 12-7 on the season. The Nighthawks host Mountain View (Tucson, AZ) to play the Mountain Lions in a I Section II bout on Thursday, January 12. The Mountain Lions go into the bout with a record of 8-4. Mountain View won 33-32 in their recent league bout against Marana (Tucson, AZ)

Next up, the Caballeros play the Canyon del Oro Dorados (Tucson, AZ) in a II Section I bout, on Friday, January 13. Flowing Wells will attempt to upgrade on its 4-13 season record. The Dorados go into the bout with a 11-7 record after their 71-55 league loss to Amphitheater (Tucson, AZ).
