(February 7, 2012: Hayes Center, NE 69032) The Hayes Center Cardinals (Hayes Center, NE) basketball defeated the visiting Wallace Wildcats (Wallace, NE), 62-47 in Tuesday's league contest.
The Cardinals now sport a 12-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Perkins County for a non-league contest on Thursday, February 9. Hayes Center will meet a Plainsmen team coming off a 56-50 non-league win over Creek Valley (Chappell, NE). The Plainsmen record now stands at 5-13.
The Wildcats (4-11) will now prepare for their contest against Stapleton/McPherson County (Stapleton, NE). The Cyclones enter the non-league contest with a 4-11 record. In their last contest, Stapleton/McPherson County ran past Hyannis (Hyannis, NE), 74-28, in a non-league contest.
