Texas High School Basketball - Stockdale holds off Nixon-Smiley
(December 2, 2011: Nixon, TX 78140) Stockdale Brahmas (Stockdale, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Nixon-Smiley Mustangs (Nixon, TX), 48-41 in a league bout.
With the victory, Stockdale upgrades its record to 6-4 on the campaign. The Brahmas travel to Karnes City (Karnes City, TX) to play the Badgers in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 3. The Badgers come into the bout with a record of 9-3. Karnes City won 66-32 in their recent non-league bout against Pearsall (Pearsall, TX)
Next up, the Mustangs play the Cole Cougars (San Antonio, TX) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 3. Nixon-Smiley will attempt to upgrade on its 7-1 season record. The Cougars come into the bout with a 6-5 record after their 42-21 non-league win over Odem (Odem, TX).
