Arizona High School Basketball - Chaparral overwhelms Camelback

(December 13, 2011: Scottsdale, AZ 85253) Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Chaparral Firebirds (Scottsdale, AZ) and the visiting Camelback Spartans (Phoenix, AZ), saw Chaparral's basketball squad trounce Camelback by a score of 68-40.

With the victory, Chaparral improves its record to 5-4 on the campaign. The Firebirds travel to Mountain Ridge (Glendale, AZ) to play the Mountain Lions in a I Section III challenge on Friday, December 16. The Mountain Lions come into the challenge with a record of 4-6. Mountain Ridge lost 73-53 in their recent league challenge against Boulder Creek (Anthem, AZ)

Next up, the Spartans play the Central Bobcats (Phoenix, AZ) in a I Section I challenge, on Thursday, December 15. Camelback will attempt to improve on its 0-6 season record. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a 4-6 record after their 67-54 non-league loss to Westwind Prep Academy (Phoenix, AZ).
