Texas High School Basketball - Dawson thwarts Bryan

(December 29, 2011: Bryan, TX 77802) The Dawson Eagles (Pearland, TX) basketball felled the host Bryan Vikings (Bryan, TX), 65-48 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Eagles (10-11) will now prepare for their test against Ray (Corpus Christi, TX). The Texans go into the non-league test with a 8-12 record. In their last test, Ray went down by Shoemaker (Killeen, TX), 67-51, in a non-league test.

The Vikings now own a 1-13 record. They take the field next when they host Copperas Cove for a 5A Region II District 12 test on Tuesday, January 3. Bryan will clash with a Bulldawgs squad coming off a 59-47 non-league win over Cedar Park (Cedar Park, TX). The Bulldawgs record now stands at 15-8.
