(October 26, 2007: Tarpon Springs, FL 34689) The Central Bears football team (Brooksville, FL), was beaten 27-10 in Friday's league challenge with the host Tarpon Springs Spongers (Tarpon Springs, FL)
The Spongers (5-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Springstead (Spring Hill, FL). The Eagles come into the 4A District 8 challenge with a 4-4 record. In their last challenge, Springstead was beaten by Ridgewood (New Port Richey, FL), 27-13, in a league challenge.
The Bears now sport a 4-4 record. They take the field next when they host River Ridge for a 4A District 8 challenge on Friday, November 2. Central will meet a Knights /Royal team coming off a 31-0 league loss to Land O'Lakes (Land O'Lakes, FL). The Knights /Royal record now stands at 1-7.
