Florida High School Basketball - Williston can't hold off Rock

(February 6, 2009: Gainesville, FL 32607) The Rock Lions basketball team scored 55 points and restricted the visiting Williston Red Devils to 50 in the Lions non-league victory on Friday.

The Lions now sport a 14-1 record. They play next when they travel to Cocoa for a non-league contest on Saturday, February 7. Rock will meet a Tigers team coming off a 64-53 league win over Rockledge (Rockledge, FL). The Tigers record now stands at 21-3.

The Red Devils (16-8) will now prepare for their contest against Santa Fe (Alachua, FL). The Raiders come into the non-league contest with a 4-6 record.
