Mississippi High School Basketball - Clinton can't hold off Lanier

(December 17, 2011: Jackson, MS 39203) The Lanier Bulldogs basketball team scored 68 points and held the visiting Clinton Arrows to 64 in the Bulldogs non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Bulldogs now sport a 10-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Jim Hill for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 3. Lanier will meet a Tigers team coming off a 50-49 non-league win over Raymond (Raymond, MS). The Tigers record now stands at 12-1.

The Arrows (9-3) will now prepare for their contest against Amanda Elzy (Greenwood, MS). The Panthers enter the non-league contest with a 11-2 record. In their last contest, Amanda Elzy nudged Clarksdale (Clarksdale, MS), 93-61, in a non-league contest.
