Ohio High School Basketball - Bellbrook holds off Oakwood
(February 7, 2012: Bellbrook, OH 45305) Bellbrook Golden Eagles (Bellbrook, OH) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Oakwood Lumberjacks (Dayton, OH), 57-55 in a league bout.
With the victory, Bellbrook upgrades its record to 7-10 on the campaign. The Golden Eagles travel to Franklin Monroe (Pitsburg, OH) to play the Jets in a non-league bout on Friday, February 10. The Jets come into the bout with a record of 9-7. Franklin Monroe lost 55-33 in their recent non-league battle against Versailles (Versailles, OH)
The Lumberjacks (5-12) will now prepare for their battle against Franklin (Franklin, OH). The Wildcats come into the Southwestern Buckeye - Southwestern battle with a 16-0 record. In their last battle, Franklin edged Brookville (Brookville, OH), 84-21, in a league battle.
