(January 31, 2012: WaKeeney, KS 67672) In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Oakley Plainsmen (Oakley, KS) basketball squad knocked off the host Trego Golden Eagles (WaKeeney, KS), by a margin of 60-49.

The Plainsmen (11-3) will now prepare for their outing against Rawlins County (Atwood, KS). The Buffaloes go into the Northwest Kansas bout with a 9-5 record. In their last bout, Rawlins County was knocked off by Hoxie (Hoxie, KS), 78-32, in a non-league bout.

Next up, the Golden Eagles play the Osborne Bulldogs (Osborne, KS) in a Mid-Continent bout, on Friday, February 3. Trego will attempt to upgrade on its 9-6 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 7-6 record after their 46-28 league win over Stockton (Stockton, KS).
