Arizona High School Basketball - Centennial holds off O'Connor

(January 9, 2012: Phoenix, AZ 85083) Centennial Coyotes (Peoria, AZ) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host O'Connor Eagles (Phoenix, AZ), 53-46 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Centennial upgrades its record to 6-6 on the campaign. The Coyotes travel to Millennium (Goodyear, AZ) to play the Tigers in a I Section I bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 8-4. Millennium lost 48-46 in their recent non-league bout against Desert Edge (Goodyear, AZ)

Next up, the Eagles play the Boulder Creek Jaguar (Anthem, AZ) in a I Section III bout, on Thursday, January 12. O'Connor will attempt to upgrade on its 4-9 season record. The Jaguar come into the bout with a 11-4 record after their 77-72 league loss to Westwind Prep Academy (Phoenix, AZ).
