Washington High School Basketball - Eastlake holds off Newport

(January 26, 2011: Bellevue, WA 98006) Eastlake Wolves (Sammamish, WA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the host Newport Knights (Bellevue, WA), 49-44 in a league bout.

With the win, Eastlake upgrades its record to 16-2 on the season. The Wolves host Issaquah (Issaquah, WA) to play the Eagles in a 4A KingCo bout on Friday, January 28. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 12-4. Issaquah won 48-27 in their recent league bout against Ballard (Seattle, WA)

Next up, the Knights play the Skyline Spartans (Sammamish, WA) in a 4A KingCo bout, on Friday, January 28. Newport will attempt to upgrade on its 7-10 season record. The Spartans go into the bout with a 13-5 record after their 58-29 league win over Redmond (Redmond, WA).
