Missouri High School Basketball - Washington holds off Lafayette
(December 17, 2011: Wildwood, MO 63011) Washington Bluejays (Washington, MO) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the host Lafayette Lancers (Wildwood, MO), 53-50 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Washington upgrades its record to 5-6 on the season. The Bluejays travel to St. Charles (St. Charles, MO) to play the Pirates in a Gateway - North bout on Wednesday, January 4. The Pirates go into the bout with a record of 6-2.
Next up, the Lancers play the Oakville Tigers (St. Louis, MO) in a Suburban - West bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Lafayette will attempt to upgrade on its 4-2 season record.
