California High School Basketball - Birmingham holds off Granada Hills

(January 27, 2012: Lake Balboa, CA 91406) Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Birmingham Patriots (Lake Balboa, CA) and the visiting Granada Hills Highlanders (Granada Hills, CA), saw Birmingham's basketball squad hold off Granada Hills by a count of 49-46.

With the victory, Birmingham upgrades its record to 10-11 on the campaign. The Patriots host Chatsworth (Chatsworth, CA) to battle the Chancellors in a West Valley battle on Wednesday, February 1. The Chancellors come into the battle with a record of 9-18. Chatsworth lost 63-53 in their recent league battle against Cleveland (Reseda, CA)

The Highlanders (8-14) will now prepare for their battle against Montclair Prep (Van Nuys, CA). The Mounties come into the non-league battle with a 0-0 record.
