North Carolina High School Basketball - Cape Fear fells Grays Creek

(December 30, 2011: Fayetteville, NC 28312) Cape Fear Colts (Fayetteville, NC) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad overcome the visiting Grays Creek Bears (Hope Mills, NC), 67-55 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Cape Fear upgrades its record to 4-10 on the campaign. The Colts travel to Terry Sanford (Fayetteville, NC) to play the Bulldogs in a 4A Mid-South bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 5-5. Terry Sanford won 62-51 in their recent non-league bout against South View (Hope Mills, NC)

Next up, the Bears play the Overhills Jaguars (Spring Lake, NC) in a 3A Cape Fear Valley bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Grays Creek will attempt to move on its 5-7 season record. The Jaguars enter the game with a 2-8 record after their 80-45 non-league loss to Fairmont (Fairmont, NC).
