California High School Football - Serra overwhelms Redondo

(September 11, 2009: Redondo Beach, CA 90277) The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Serra Cavaliers (Gardena, CA) and the host Redondo Sea Hawks (Redondo Beach, CA), observed Serra's football squad bounce Redondo by a tally of 49-12.

The Cavaliers now possess a 2-0 record. They play next when they travel to Carson for a non-league contest on Friday, September 18. Serra will play a Colts squad coming off a 56-21 non-league win over Miller (Fontana, CA). The Colts record now stands at 2-0.

Coming up next, the Sea Hawks play the Millikan Rams (Long Beach, CA) in a non-league contest, on Friday, September 18. Redondo will attempt to advance on its 0-1 season record. The Rams go into the contest with a 2-0 record after their 42-13 non-league win over Artesia (Lakewood, CA).
