(January 31, 2012: Methuen, MA 01844) In Tuesday's non-league match, the visiting Lowell Red Raiders basketball team scored a decisive 75-32 triumph over the Methuen Rangers.
With the victory, Lowell improves its record to 11-3 on the campaign. The Red Raiders travel to Central Catholic (Lawrence, MA) to battle the Raiders in a Merrimack Valley 1 challenge on Friday, February 3. The Raiders come into the challenge with a record of 15-0. Central Catholic won 47-43 in their recent non-league challenge against Bishop Hendricken (Warwick, RI)
Next up, the Rangers battle the Billerica Memorial Indians (Billerica, MA) in a Merrimack Valley 2 challenge, on Tuesday, February 7. Methuen will attempt to improve on its 5-5 season record.
