Arizona High School Basketball - Chaparral prevails Westwood

(January 17, 2012: Mesa, AZ 85201) Chaparral Firebirds (Scottsdale, AZ) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Westwood Warriors (Mesa, AZ), 62-44 in a league game.

In their next game, the Firebirds face the North Canyon Rattlers (Phoenix, AZ) in a I Section III game, on Friday, January 20. Chaparral will attempt to move on its 10-10 season record.

With the defeat, Westwood moves to 10-11 on the year. The Warriors host Kingman (Kingman, AZ) to face the Bulldogs in a non-league game on Friday, January 20. The Bulldogs enter the game with a record of 5-14.
