Texas High School Basketball - Waco thwarts Midway
(January 13, 2012: Waco, TX 76712) The Waco Lions (Waco, TX) basketball felled the host Midway Panthers (Waco, TX), 52-44 in Friday's league test.
The Lions (11-13) will now prepare for their test against Killeen (Killeen, TX). The Kangaroos go into the 4A Region I District 8 test with a 11-8 record. In their last test, Killeen defeated University (Waco, TX), 72-42, in a league test.
The Panthers now own a 9-15 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lake View for a 4A Region I District 8 test on Tuesday, January 17. Midway will clash with a Chiefs squad coming off a 59-37 league loss to Stephenville (Stephenville, TX). The Chiefs record now stands at 1-6.
