Texas High School Basketball - Irvin overwhelms El Paso

(January 3, 2012: El Paso, TX 79924) Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Irvin Rockets (El Paso, TX) and the visiting El Paso Tigers (El Paso, TX), witnessed Irvin's basketball squad crush El Paso by a margin of 44-19.

The Rockets (14-5) will now prepare for their test against Burges (El Paso, TX). The Mustangs go into the 4A Region I District 1 test with a 14-7 record. In their last test, Burges was trounced by Chapin (El Paso, TX), 54-47, in a league test.

The Tigers now own a 1-15 record. They take the field next when they travel to Burges for a 4A Region I District 1 test on Friday, January 13.
