Texas High School Basketball - Wagner prevails San Marcos
(February 3, 2012: San Antonio, TX 78233) Wagner Thunderbirds (San Antonio, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting San Marcos Rattlers (San Marcos, TX), 54-45 in a league bout.
With the win, Wagner upgrades its record to 18-13 on the season. The Thunderbirds travel to New Braunfels (New Braunfels, TX) to play the Unicorns in a 5A Region IV District 25 bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Unicorns go into the bout with a record of 8-19. New Braunfels lost 82-30 in their recent league bout against Steele (Cibolo, TX)
Next up, the Rattlers play the Seguin Matadors (Seguin, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 25 bout, on Tuesday, February 7. San Marcos will attempt to upgrade on its 11-22 season record. The Matadors go into the bout with a 2-17 record after their 76-29 league loss to Judson (Converse, TX).
