California High School Baseball - Hawthorne loses to Santa Monica

(April 14, 2011: Santa Monica, CA 90405) The Santa Monica Vikings crushed the visiting Hawthorne Cougars baseball team by a count of 6-0 in Thursday's league bout.

The Vikings now possess a 5-13 record. They take the field next when they travel to Harvard-Westlake for a non-league bout on Saturday, April 16. Santa Monica will face a Wolverines team coming off a 9-3 league win over St. Francis (La Canada, CA). The Wolverines record now stands at 14-5.

Next, the Cougars face the Culver City Centaurs (Culver City, CA) in a Ocean bout, on Friday, April 15. Hawthorne will attempt to move on its 8-6 season record. The Centaurs enter the bout with a 8-5 record after their 8-0 league win over Beverly Hills (Beverly Hills, CA).
