Florida High School Basketball - Newsome tipped by Brandon

(December 14, 2011: Brandon, FL 33510) The Brandon Eagles basketball team scored 36 points and held the visiting Newsome Wolves to 32 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Eagles now sport a 2-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hillsborough for a 7A District 8 contest on Friday, December 16. Brandon will confront a Terriers team coming off a 59-58 non-league win over Spoto (Riverview, FL). The Terriers record now stands at 1-6.

The Wolves (3-5) will now prepare for their contest against Wharton (Tampa, FL). The Wildcats enter the 8A District 7 bout with a 5-1 record. In their last bout, Wharton held off Bloomingdale (Valrico, FL), 66-48, in a league bout.
