North Carolina High School Basketball - Eastern Wayne overwhelmed by Triton

(February 7, 2012: Erwin, NC 28339) The Eastern Wayne Warriors basketball team (Goldsboro, NC), was overwhelmed 83-41 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Triton Hawks (Erwin, NC)

The Hawks now sport a 20-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to South Johnston for a 3A Eastern Carolina contest on Thursday, February 9. Triton will confront a Trojans team coming off a 66-42 league win over Cleveland (Clayton, NC). The Trojans record now stands at 10-8.

The Warriors (8-13) will now prepare for their contest against North Lenoir (LaGrange, NC). The Hawks enter the 3A Eastern Carolina contest with a 2-18 record. In their last contest, North Lenoir was routed by Southern Wayne (Dudley, NC), 67-47, in a league contest.
