(January 10, 2012: Katy, TX 77449) The Cypress Falls Eagles (Houston, TX) basketball nipped the host Cypress Lakes Spartans (Katy, TX), 59-56 in Tuesday's league test.

The Eagles (20-3) will now prepare for their test against Cypress Creek (Houston, TX). The Cougars go into the 5A Region III District 17 test with a 5-13 record. In their last test, Cypress Creek was tipped by Langham Creek (Houston, TX), 67-43, in a league test.

The Spartans now own a 12-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cy-Fair for a 5A Region III District 17 test on Friday, January 13. Cypress Lakes will clash with a Bobcats squad coming off a 63-61 league loss to Jersey Village (Houston, TX). The Bobcats record now stands at 10-9.
