(October 6, 2011: Franklin Square, NY 11010) Valley Stream North Spartans (Franklin Square, NY) fans left the game satisfied Thursday as they observed their football team run past the visiting Island Trees Bulldogs (Levittown, NY), 48-27 in a league test.

With the win, Valley Stream North improves its record to 4-1 on the season. The Spartans host East Rockaway (East Rockaway, NY) to confront the Rocks in a Section 8 Conference IV test on Saturday, October 15. The Rocks go into the test with a record of 2-3. East Rockaway lost 17-14 in their recent league test against Seaford (Seaford, NY)

With the loss, Island Trees moves to 1-4 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Roosevelt (Roosevelt, NY) to confront the Roughriders in a Section 8 Conference IV test on Saturday, October 15.
