Arizona High School Basketball - Desert Mountain thwarts Westwood

(January 16, 2012: Scottsdale, AZ 85259) The Desert Mountain Wolves (Scottsdale, AZ) basketball felled the visiting Westwood Warriors (Mesa, AZ), 60-47 in Monday's league test.

The Wolves (15-5) will now prepare for their test against Mountain View (Mesa, AZ). The Toros go into the I Section III test with a 12-6 record. In their last test, Mountain View defeated Brophy College Prep (Phoenix, AZ), 50-41, in a league test.

The Warriors now own a 10-10 record. They take the field next when they host Chaparral for a I Section III test on Tuesday, January 17. Westwood will clash with a Firebirds squad coming off a 55-49 league loss to Pinnacle (Phoenix, AZ). The Firebirds record now stands at 9-10.
