Texas High School Basketball - Loop topples O'Donnell
(December 16, 2011: Loop, TX 79342) In Friday's league outing, the Loop Longhorns (Loop, TX) basketball squad beat the visiting O'Donnell Eagles (O'Donnell, TX), by a count of 50-41.
The Longhorns (7-5) will now prepare for their outing against Wellman-Union (Wellman, TX). The Wildcats go into the 1A-2 Region I District 8 outing with a 6-12 record. In their last outing, Wellman-Union was topped by Borden (Gail, TX), 63-49, in a league outing.
The Eagles now hold a 6-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Dawson for a 1A-2 Region I District 8 outing on Tuesday, December 20. O'Donnell will encounter a Dragons squad coming off a 46-24 league win over Sands (Ackerly, TX). The Dragons record now stands at 6-7.
