(October 10, 2008: Edwards AFB, CA 93523) The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Desert Scorpions (Edwards AFB, CA) and the visiting Poly Panthers (Pasadena, CA), observed Desert's football squad thwart Poly by a tally of 28-8.
The Scorpions now possess a 5-1 record. They play next when they travel to Frazier Mountain for a High Desert contest on Friday, October 17. Desert will play a Falcons squad coming off a 33-21 non-league win over St. Genevieve (Panorama City, CA). The Falcons record now stands at 2-3.
Coming up next, the Panthers play the Flintridge Prep Rebels (La Canada, CA) in a Prep contest, on Saturday, October 18. Poly will attempt to advance on its 2-2 season record. The Rebels go into the contest with a 1-4 record after their 20-7 non-league loss to Malibu (Malibu, CA).
