(September 14, 2007: Mt. Sterling, KY 40353) The Bourbon County Colonels football team (Paris, KY), was beaten 39-20 in Friday's non-league challenge with the host Montgomery County Indians (Mt. Sterling, KY)

The Indians (3-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Ashland Blazer (Ashland, KY). The Tomcats come into the 5A District 6 challenge with a 0-4 record. In their last challenge, Ashland Blazer was beaten by Russell (Russell, KY), 28-20, in a non-league challenge.

The Colonels now sport a 1-2 record. They play next when they travel to Harrison County for a 4A District 5 outing on Friday, September 21. Bourbon County will encounter a Thorobreds team coming off a 35-7 non-league win over Madison Southern (Berea, KY). The Thorobreds record now stands at 3-1.
