(December 29, 2011: Lucedale, MS 39452) Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the George County Rebels (Lucedale, MS) and the visiting Bay Tigers (Bay St. Louis, MS), saw George County's basketball squad hold off Bay by a score of 44-41.

With the victory, George County improves its record to 5-5 on the campaign. The Rebels travel to Pearl River Central (Carriere, MS) to battle the Blue Devils in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 30. The Blue Devils come into the challenge with a record of 13-3. Pearl River Central won 53-26 in their recent non-league challenge against Poplarville (Poplarville, MS)

Next up, the Tigers battle the Picayune Maroon Tide (Picayune, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 30. Bay will attempt to improve on its 9-5 season record. The Maroon Tide come into the challenge with a 15-1 record after their 75-56 non-league win over Perry Central (New Augusta, MS).
