Texas High School Basketball - Texline overwhelms Roy/Mosquero
(January 13, 2012: Texline, TX 79087) Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Texline Tornadoes (Texline, TX) and the visiting Roy/Mosquero Longhorns (Roy, NM), saw Texline's basketball squad trounce Roy/Mosquero by a count of 51-27.
With the victory, Texline upgrades its record to 9-13 on the campaign. The Tornadoes host Channing (Channing, TX) to play the Eagles in a 1A-2 Region I District 1 challenge on Tuesday, January 17. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 2-7. Channing won 41-16 in their recent non-league challenge against Holy Cross Academy (Amarillo, TX)
Next up, the Longhorns play the Elida Tigers (Elida, NM) in a B District 2 challenge, on Saturday, January 14. Roy/Mosquero will attempt to upgrade on its 4-4 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 4-4 record after their 62-36 non-league loss to Fort Sumner (Fort Sumner, NM).
