Florida High School Volleyball - Freedom crushed by Newsome

(September 15, 2009: Lithia, FL 33547) The Newsome Wolves volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the visiting Freedom Patriots to 0 in the Wolves non-league victory on Tuesday.

With the win, Newsome betters its record to 4-0 on the year. The Wolves travel to Durant (Plant City, FL) to face the Cougars in a 5A District 8 outing on Thursday, September 17. The Cougars go into the outing with a record of 3-3. Durant won 3-2 in their recent non-league outing against Gaither (Tampa, FL)

The Patriots now sport a 3-2 record. They play next when they travel to Middleton for a non-league outing on Tuesday, September 22. Freedom will face a Tigers squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Spoto (Riverview, FL). The Tigers record now stands at 0-4.
