(December 30, 2011: Bell Gardens, CA 90201) Bell Gardens Lancers (Bell Gardens, CA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Rubidoux Falcons (Riverside, CA), 61-59 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Bell Gardens upgrades its record to 1-11 on the campaign. The Lancers host Elizabeth Learning Center (Cudahy, CA) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 2-8. Elizabeth Learning Center lost 82-31 in their recent non-league bout against Dinuba (Dinuba, CA)

Next up, the Falcons play the Norte Vista Braves (Riverside, CA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Rubidoux will attempt to upgrade on its 4-10 season record. The Braves come into the bout with a 0-8 record after their 79-57 non-league loss to Jurupa Valley (Mira Loma, CA).
