(May 4, 2011: Twentynine Palms, CA 92277) Twentynine Palms Wildcats (Twentynine Palms, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Big Bear Bears (Big Bear City, CA), 11-4 in a league challenge.

The Wildcats now own a 11-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Shadow Hills for a De Anza challenge on Friday, May 6. Twentynine Palms will face a Knights squad coming off a 15-8 league win over Desert Hot Springs (Desert Hot Springs, CA). The Knights record now stands at 6-10.

With the loss, Big Bear falls to 10-9 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Yucca Valley (Yucca Valley, CA) to face the Trojans in a De Anza challenge on Friday, May 6. The Trojans enter the challenge with a record of 16-8. Yucca Valley won 11-2 in their recent league challenge against Desert Mirage (Thermal, CA)
