Texas High School Basketball - Springtown thwarts Boswell

(January 31, 2012: Springtown, TX 76082) The Springtown Porcupines (Springtown, TX) basketball felled the visiting Boswell Pioneers (Fort Worth, TX), 41-31 in Tuesday's league contest.

The Porcupines now sport a 17-14 record. They play next when they travel to Birdville for a 4A Region I District 5 contest on Friday, February 3. Springtown will meet a Hawks team coming off a 48-45 league win over Brewer (Fort Worth, TX). The Hawks record now stands at 14-15.

The Pioneers (11-16) will now prepare for their contest against Aledo (Aledo, TX). The Bearcats come into the 4A Region I District 5 contest with a 26-4 record. In their last contest, Aledo beat Byron Nelson (Trophy Club, TX), 53-30, in a league contest.
