(January 6, 2012: Fayetteville, NC 28304) The Douglas Byrd Eagles (Fayetteville, NC) basketball crushed the visiting Grays Creek Bears (Hope Mills, NC), 89-59 in Friday's league test.

The Eagles (4-6) will now prepare for their test against Overhills (Spring Lake, NC). The Jaguars go into the 3A Cape Fear Valley test with a 2-10 record. In their last test, Overhills was trounced by Southern Lee (Sanford, NC), 68-46, in a league test.

The Bears now own a 6-8 record. They take the field next when they host Southern Lee for a 3A Cape Fear Valley test on Friday, January 13. Grays Creek will clash with a Cavaliers squad coming off a 68-46 league win over Overhills (Spring Lake, NC). The Cavaliers record now stands at 8-1.
