(April 23, 2009: Oldsmar, FL 34677) Calvary Christian Warriors (Clearwater, FL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Oldsmar Christian Eagles (Oldsmar, FL), 17-5 in a non-league test.

With the win, Calvary Christian upgrades its record to 13-11 on the season.

With the defeat, Oldsmar Christian falls to 6-11 on the season. The Eagles travel to Citrus Park Christian (Tampa, FL) to battle the Eagles in a non-league test on Tuesday, April 28. The Eagles come into the test with a record of 11-8. Citrus Park Christian lost 11-1 in their recent non-league test against Hernando Christian Academy (Brooksville, FL)
Scoring Summary

The Calvary Warriors Baseball team closed out their regular season with a decisive 17-5 victory over Oldsmar Christian. Juniors Jeff Johnson and Jordan Ankrom led the offense with 3 hits each and 5 RBIs and Senior Brett Zitzelberg contributed another 3 RBIs, while Ankrom and Freshman Alex Zambrano combined on a good pitching effort. It was Ankrom’s first time on the mound in a year but you would never know it. The Warriors completed what is believed to be the most successful baseball season in the schools history with a 13-11 record and 2 District wins. That accomplishes 2 of 3 goals set before the season. The other goal was to win a District Playoff game which they get an opportunity to do on Tuesday night against rival Tampa Prep.
