Texas High School Basketball - DeSoto trounces North Mesquite

(January 13, 2012: Mesquite, TX 75150) The DeSoto Eagles (De Soto, TX) basketball crushed the host North Mesquite Stallions (Mesquite, TX), 74-29 in Friday's league test.

The Eagles (18-3) will now prepare for their test against Lee (Tyler, TX). The Raiders go into the 5A Region II District 11 test with a 20-5 record. In their last test, Lee walloped Horn (Mesquite, TX), 62-52, in a league test.

The Stallions now own a 4-19 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mesquite for a 5A Region II District 11 test on Tuesday, January 17. North Mesquite will clash with a Skeeters squad coming off a 69-35 league win over Longview (Longview, TX). The Skeeters record now stands at 12-7.
