California High School Basketball - Mendota prevails Tranquillity

(February 3, 2012: Tranquillity, CA 93668) Mendota Aztecs (Mendota, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Tranquillity Tigers (Tranquillity, CA), 52-43 in a league bout.

With the win, Mendota upgrades its record to 13-9 on the season. The Aztecs host Firebaugh (Firebaugh, CA) to play the Eagles in a West Sierra bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 9-11. Firebaugh won 66-57 in their recent league bout against Dos Palos (Dos Palos, CA)

Next up, the Tigers play the Fresno Christian Eagles (Fresno, CA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Tranquillity will attempt to upgrade on its 2-14 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 19-1 record after their 65-55 league win over Riverdale (Riverdale, CA).
